PATTERNS OF LOTUS AND BAMBOO SCULPTURE

If you visit  Buddhist and Taoist temples, you might just be able to see patterns of lotus and bamboo sculptures on the walls, ceilings and doors.
The lotus is ever so popular as it symbolizes the Buddhist purity, resurrection and the enlightened being who emerges undefiled from the chaos and illusion of the world.  In Taoism and Buddhism, the Lotus flower holds a supreme position. The Lotus Flower meaning pure and noble in Buddhism is considered sacred. In Buddhism the lotus flower symbolizes faithfulness.
As for the bamboo, it is considered a gentleman with perfect virtues. It combines upright integrity with accommodating flexibility; it has the perfect balance of grace and strength, or the Yin and the Yang.LINK  LINK
