GHOST LIME (KAFFIR LIME)

The Kaffir Lime tree (Pokok Limau Purut) in the college Herb Garden is thriving and produces limes quite often.  Last week I got a few of my boys to help me cut some of the limes from the plant as they had grown quite big.
Do you know that Kaffir Lime is sometimes referred to as Ghost Lime? This is because the limes are used by spiritualists to get rid of ghosts and evil spirits?
Besides uses for the occult, the leaves when soused in water are used to wash hair. Another traditional use for making the skin smoother.  This lime is to cut them into to several small parts, dry them and mesh into powder which is used to apply to skin.  .
