TREES" THE LOVERS"

Besides being able to hug the 19 year old Gaharu Tree, visitors to the Gaharu Tea Valley will also be given a tour of the plantation.  During the ride, the guide will draw the attention of the visitors to two trees growing very close to each other.  From afar, both trees form the heart shape.
The guide told us that the Orang Asli or aborigines told them the tale of the trees as being that of two lovers.
You can see the trees forming the shape of a heart above.
Both trees are said to have the roots growing together.
The one on the left is the male tree as it has thicker trunks and has more leaves around it.  The female tree has lighter coloured trunk.  The aborigines say that the female tree was once a White Lady.
If you look closer, the male tree has a arm-like trunk extending towards the female tree.
