When I saw the leaves used for making Chung at the market last weekend, I thought about my Aunt May. When she was alive, she'd buy the leaves above to be used as casings for the Chung or Dumplings that she'd make from glutinous rice and other ingredients. She'd make special ones for me minus the chicken and pork. Alas, she's gone and I won't get to eat her delicious dumplings. Sigh!!!
By the way, the Dumpling Festival falls on June 23 this year. It happens to be a Saturday. I'll go and buy the vegetarian ones from the shop.
