Last weekend I went to two different places to pay homage to my ancestors. I had already posted pictures of my visit on Saturday to the Sam Poh caves columbarium yesterday. Today's pictures were taken at the cemetery in Gopeng. My cousin brother Thim Fook, his son Ivan and I trekked up the hill to pray to our Cheah ancestors. As Thim Fook had come later this year, we only reached the site at around 10.30 a.m. and by the time we reached the grandfather, great grandparents and grand aunts' graves, it was about 11.30 p.m. Believe me, it is no fun Qing Ming outing if it is hot. Nevertheless, we had to carry out our filial duties as descendants of the Cheah clan.
