OH, THE HEAT, THE SMOKE AND THE PEOPLE

 I went to Sam Poh Tong Temple on Saturday to pray to my maternal grandfather, grandmother and my paternal aunt whose ashes are interned there.  As can be seen from the pictures above and below, I have been badly affected by the heat and the smoke.  There were many who had gone to the temple on a weekend to carry out their annual obligation to their ancestors.  As usual, lots of Joss-sticks and prayer paraphernalia were burnt as offerings thus adding to the pollution.  Mind you, the day I went was on Earth Day.  This was certainly not doing much for the cause of saving the earth.
