PILLOW SHAPED GLUTINOUS RICE DUMPLINGS

 The Zong Zi  粽子or Glutinous rice dumplings that are commonly sold are shaped like a pyramid.  Nowadays these dumplings sell for anywhere between RM2.50 to RM4.50 at the market.
Not so commonly sold are the pillow shaped ones which I spotted at the Kampung Simee market.  You can see the extra large Chum Toe Zong or Pillow shaped glutinous rice dumplings in the pictures below.  Besides glutinous rice, the other ingredients are dried scallop, dried shrimp, chicken, black eye beans, sweet chestnuts, mung beans, salted egg yolk and pork.  They were selling at RM9 each.
