AUSPICIOUS CAR NUMBERS

The Chinese have a thing for numbers that are auspicious sounding.  High on the list are the numbers 8 and 9.  The Mercedes above has the numbers 9898 which symbolises forever prosper.  While the MyVi carries the numbers 4888 which can be taken to mean keep on prospering.
The question is, "Does possessing a car with an auspicious digit really make the owner prosper?"  If you ask me, the answer is a resounding NO.
