Behold is the effigy for the Taoist Deity, Cai Xin or the God of Wealth. The Taoists pray to this deity to bless them with wealth luck. I was told that one ritual for obtaining luck is to buy a Wealth Beckoning Set of Papers (the red and green papers placed across the right shoulder of Cai Xin. Wonder whether if it works? Well, I guess those who have wealth luck would benefit.
