PEACOCK PLANT

When my mum first saw this plant at the nursery, she was captivated by the beautiful leaves which resembled that of the peacock's tail.  Of course, she bought it and this is how the plant looks after some time in her care.  It has grown even more exquisite and beautiful.  Look at how the patterns on the leaves are so prominent.

Here is some information about the Peacock Plant:
Latin Name: Calathea roseopicta
Common Name: Rose Painted Calathea, Rose Painted Prayer Plant, Peacock Plant

Family name: Marantaceae
Description: Broad leaf blades are about eight inches (20cm) long and very dark in color with a narrow grey-green jagged line some distance in from the leaf margin.
