THE TAO OF 2

-- How to Tap Double Goodness Luck with Feng Shui

Everyone's heard there's strength in numbers and that certainly extends to feng shui, where pairs constitute the concept of double goodness.

Think about anything good and you want seconds - like you do with chocolate cake, a second date with a special someone, or another prosperous opportunity.

In feng shui, though, whenever there is something auspicious, such as a symbol, it's even more powerful and potent when it's used as a pair.

That's why you see two fu dogs at the front of hotels, casinos and restaurants: two are stronger than one. It's also why we're often happier when we're in a relationship and have someone to count on in life.

But pairs don't just have to extend to the number two.

There are a variety of ways you can use the number two and the concept of double goodness to bring you good fortune and opportunity.

Use these tips to double your good fortune and happiness luck!

Double up your lucky numbers. If you're born on a particular day, the number of the day you're born on becomes a lucky number. For example, if you were born on the 8th of July, your lucky number is 8. If you live at 188 Elm Street, your address is double lucky for you! Look for ways to incorporate your birth number into your phone numbers, addresses, etc. The date you were born on can also be your lucky day each month as well.

Good fortune comes in pairs. Be sure to accent your home or business with pairs of symbols such as a pair of birds or any winged animal, such as winged lions. A pair of birds brings good news and placing pairs of objects by the front door attracts luck and opportunities to the residents.

Decorate in pairs. Whenever we see items in pairs it is comforting to the eye. After all, people are nothing more than an assembly of pairs (eyes, legs, arms, lips, ears). This is especially true in the bedroom where pairs of night tables and lamps lends a restful and comforting quality to the bedroom -- and they're lucky for love.

If you have a pair of animals or vases or any kind of figure, display them prominently as a pair because anything paired is more auspicious than a single item. Their double goodness will exude good luck to the household.

Activate 2 for wealth. The southwest sector is the site of the indirect spirit of the current energy cycle. That means water in this location is enhancing. In particular, it brings wealth to all the members of the household, but especially to the woman of the house, or financial luck from women!

Be sure to add a fountain or some kind of water feature here to tap this wonderful wealth luck. Even an aquarium here will bring good fortune and opportunity.

Look for lucky doubles. If you have a birth date that's a double, such as 11 or 22, this is especially auspicious because it signifies double goodness. Even if you are 22, 33, 44, 55, there is a special quality to these numbers.

People with 11 and 22 numbers in their birth date are considered to have great powers and responsibilities in both Chinese and numerological studies. People who are 11's have astute minds and can lead others and create outcomes with their minds. A 22 person will take the 11's concentration abilities and build on it and have incredible luck and ability to create.
