RECIPE FOR PAPAYA HERBAL DRINK

As promised I am doing a post about the Papaya Tong Shui or Papaya Herbal Drink.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 unripe papaya
1 packet of snow fungus (suet yee)
100 - 200 grammes of dried longan
Rock Cane Sugar
A handful of Wolfberries (Kei Chi)

METHOD

 Peel the papaya
 Remove the seeds
 Cut the papaya into slices
 Wash the papaya and then drain the water
 Wash the snow fungus and soak it for a while to let it expand
 Wash the dried longan
 Fill a pan half-full with water and bring it to boil.  Then add all the ingredients.  After boiling for 20 - 30 minutes, add the rock sugar.  Leave it to simmer for another 10 - 20 minutes and then it will be ready.
 TADA ... the Papaya Herbal Drink is ready to be served.  It is best served hot.  I was told by the lady who gave me the recipe that this drink does wonders for ones skin and our general wellbeing.
