MOSQUITO PLANT

This is what many Chinese refer to as the Mosquito Plant.  It is not because it bears any resemblance to a mosquito but for the reason that it is said to be able to repel mosquitoes. In Malay it is known as Halau Nyamuk or Jeremin (Pelargonium radula).  Many people prefer to have this plant in their homes than to use insecticides which have a strong smell and contains a certain dosage of poison.
I bought this plant for my house a few years back when I heard of its mosquito repelling properties.  However, I found that it is not too effective as them mosquitoes still came out to play.
