THANK GOD FOR STEVEN TYLER

When Simon Cowell left American Idol, most people thought that it spelt doom for this reality show.  People sort of relate American Idol with Simon and his perspicuous remarks about a contestant's singing ability.  He was usually spot on and would never mince his words.  Many thought that without Simon, there would be no American Idol.  Well ...
Enter Steven Tyler, the new judge and we have someone who is so refreshing and interesting.  He is a superstar in his own right, a very notorious one at that.  From the moment he took the judge's seat during the first show, he made everyone realise that Simon was indeed replaceable.  His remarks, though not as acidic as Simon's, are just as waspis and accurate.  No wonder the viewers have quickly embraced him for his own brand of charm and charisma.  Furthermore, this hyperactive 63 year old entertains us with his antics as well.

Here are a few of his latest eloquent remarks:
  • Steven told a  singer who did a bad job on a Beatles number , “You were so off the melody it was like you were on another planet.”
  • He told another horrible singer,”Dude, did you hit your head on the way in here?”
  • Steven Tyler told another off-key contestant dressed in a police uniform, “You ought to be arrested for that voice.”
Yes, thank God for Steven Tyler.
