The Taoists and Buddhists would wear amulets to protect them from ghosts and evil spirits. I am sure one amulet will do but there is this man in Thailand who wears 1,000 amulets to protect himself from ghosts.
A Thai man, who is extremely afraid of ghosts, wears about 1,000 amulets daily.
The 40-year-old supervisor of an electronic appliances company in Chiangmai said the amulets weigh about 30kg.
"I have been very afraid of ghosts since I was young and have always dreamt that I'm possessed by spirits.
"I started wearing a few amulets 20 years ago and now, I have almost 1,000," he said.
The man said the amulets are worth between 10 Baht (RM1) and 200,000 Baht (RM19,866).
"I'm not so frightened anymore, but wearing the amulets has become a habit," he said, adding that he is now more worried about being robbed.
