DESERT ROSE

This particular flowering plant is very popular among the Chinese as its name in Cantonese is Fu Kwai Fa which translates to mean "Prosperity Flower".  What to do, we love money.  Who doesn't?
It is actually a succulent plant which goes by the name of Desert Rose (Scientific name: Adenium obesum).  The Chinese believe that if this plant blooms profusely then it is a sign that the occupants of house would be blessed with lots of wealth luck.
Know where I took the photos of thi splant?  My mum's garden.  Kee Kee Kee!

Very vibrant colours! Looks like the plants like that corner of the garden very much. Surely there must be colourful bouganvilleas too right? Houses in Ipoh's suburbs almost always have these brighly coloured plants present.

My mum used to plant lots of bougainvilleas but now she isn't interested in them nowadays.
The houses in my neighbourhood in Ipoh has the orange and purple flowers that I posted yesterday.
