KUM KOR (GOLDEN FRUIT)

Anyone has any idea what is the scientific name for the above fruit?  In Chinese it is called Kum Kor or Golden Fruit because of its colour.  I think it belongs to the pumpkin family. This fruit is usually sold during the Chinese New Year.  The Taoists buy it to place as offerings of the altar of the deities in the hope that they will be rewarded with gold for their effort.
