I saw this unfamiliar fruit when I was having lunch with my mum and aunt at a seafood restaurant in Kampung Cina a couple of weeks ago. I asked the owner and he told me that it was the Mo Fa Kor. Mo Fa Kor? Yup, that's the name of the fruit.
I am sure that many Malaysians would have eaten dried Mo Fa Kor. Look at the packaging of the dried fruit below and I am sure it would ring a bell.

A distant relative gave us this fruit several years ago. Katanya boleh buat ubat. Can't remember the exact usage nor its local name though.
I believe it's called Calabash in English. Our friends in Indonesia call it buah Berenuk.

On the packaging it says good for car sickness remedy n i could say this 1 works wonders.
Im the 1 that always get carsick on air conditioned vehicle.csrs,buses etc. 1 day i bought many types of tit bits to ease the condition. Hacks candies,chewing gum,n the dried mo fa kor in a bottle.
The 1 that rid the neouseasness is mo fa kor. Just hope to share so other people could benefit from this. 😊
