THE PARAKEET OR THE OCTOPUS?

I am sure most football fans would be familiar with Paul the Octopus who has correctly predicted the fortune of Germany in the FIFA World Cup thus far.  For your information, dear Paul has picked Spain to win the tournament.
However, in Singapore there is a little parakeet by the name of Mani who has chosen Holland as the winner.  Mani belongs to Muniyappan, an 80-year-old fortuneteller who said the bird has helped him predict the future for five years at a table in front of a restaurant in the Little India neighbourhood, but this year's World Cup is the first time the parakeet has attempted to forecast the outcome of sports competitions. Muniyappan has claimed Mani accurately forecast the World Cup's four quarterfinal games and Spain's semifinal victory over Germany.  So now, who are we to believe?  The parakeet or the octopus?
