KUNCUR? KANCUR?

I was introduced to this type of traditional Malay salad or ulam yesterday.  The proprietor of the restaurant that I went to told me that it was called kuncur and grows wild in the forest.  However, he managed to plant some in his backyard.
I tried looking it up in the Internet but could not find such a herbal plant.  Perhaps I got the spelling wrong.  Is there anyone out there who might know?  If yes, do tell me.
