GINGER EGG SOUP

The Chinese believe that ginger aids in ridding the body of wind.  Here is one recipe that my mum taught me to make which is nutritious and also helps to get rid of the 'angin' or gas in our bodies.

Ingredient
Old ginger (shredded)
1 egg beaten
1 medium sized onion (sliced) [optional]
1 tablespoon sesame oil

Directions for cooking

1. Heat sesame oil in wok until hot.

2. Fry the shredded ginger until golden brown.  Add in the onions and fry until fragrant.

3. Then, pour the beaten egg over the ginger and onion and fry it till it is done.

4.  Add two bowls of water and boil for about 10 minutes.  The delicious soup is ready to be served
