LIFE LONG LEARNING: COOKING

Kamariah and I had a meal at Strawberry Cafe on Wednesday evening.  We were later joined by Eric who wanted the two of use to give some comments about the food prepared by his cooks.  The two of us did give him a lot of comments and also suggestions.  He had asked the two of us where we learnt to cook and how did we have so much knowledge of cooking.  We told him in unison that our knowledge came with practice over the years.  As a matter of fact, learning to cook is lifelong education.
We told him that we too are learning new things every day.  We learn to cook new dishes from each other.  We would also try out new recipes at home and bring it for each other to try. If we like the food then we would get the recipes.  We also get recipes from the Internet and try them out.
I told him that we had planned to make pizzas after school on Thursday and that I would send him a piece afterwards.  Little did I know that today was his birthday and only when I sent him the pizza at 6.30 p.m. did he inform me.

We started preparing the ingredients at around 2.30 p.m. after school was over for the day.
I shredded the crab sticks into fine, thin strips
The ingredients been placed on the kneaded dough which was bought ready-made
Haji Hasnin tossed the salad which we made to eat with the pizza
Fatin arranging the ingredients on the dough
Fatin's masterpiece
Here is a cooked pizza
Khairah and her daughter, Ina, using bread instead of dough for a mini pizza
Two different types of pizzas done by my friends
Asiah eating a slice of pizza for the first time ever.
Baz taking out an already cooked pizza from the oven
This was the last pizza to go into the oven.  We made 6 pizzas over a period of 3 hours.  We finally called it a day at 6.00 p.m.  It was worth the while as I have learnt hands-on how to make a pizza.  I will surprise my mum and Aunt Linda next time when I cook pizza and garlic bread for them.  Yeah!!!  I have learnt to make two types of food.
Actually in Feng Shui, we call this mankind luck which is what we make of ourselves instead of being born with something or having something given to us just like that.  This constitutes about a third of our overall Luck or Fate.  See if we do something to maximise our mankind luck, then our chances for a success and a better way of living would also be better.
