PRACTISING 5S METHODOLOGY

Last Saturday, I attended a talk on the 5S Methodology. 5S is a programme to help us to make our workspace more efficient and more conducive. Here I am pictured at my work desk which is full of things.
See how much neater my work desk is after I did a bit of rearranging and cleaning. I am not done yet, I will continue cleaning, sorting and tidying my room tomorrow.
This is my working space in my study at home. It is messy, isn't it?
After I applied the 5S to it, my work space is a lot tidier and neater.
Here is some information about what 5S is:
The Five Ss The 5 'S' Process: (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke )
The 5S Process, or simply "5S", is a structured program to systematically achieve total organization, cleanliness, and standardization in the workplace. A well-organized workplace results in a safer, more efficient, and more productive operation. It boosts the morale of the workers, promoting a sense of pride in their work and ownership of their responsibilities. "5S" was invented in Japan, and stands for five (5) Japanese words that start with the letter 'S': Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke.

English equivalent of the Japanese words
Seiri - Tidiness
Seiton - Orderliness
Seiso - Cleanliness
Seiketsu -Standardization
Shitsuke - Discipline
