In the practice of Feng Shui, it is believed that dead trees create negative energy. This is especially so if the tree is facing the front of a house. If there is a dead or decaying tree in the garden or in front of the house, it can draw a tremendous amount of energy from a home. Some Feng Shui masters say that a tree near a house in general is bad fengshui, especially if it is at least 10 meters near the house. Therefore, it is important to get rid of any dead or dying trees, especially if there is somebody who is very ill or if there are elderly people living in the house.
