I had this for tea with Kamariah. She told me that when she was growing up in a village, she and her siblings would enjoy a meal of tapioca which they had baked in wood fire with sambal or grated coconut with sugar. The tapioca we had today was steamed instead of baked or fried as oil was expensive at that time. Eating the steamed tapioca sambal ikan bilis and grated coconut with sugar was something new to me. This simple meal was delicious and a pleasurable experience. Something I would definitely try again.
