NASI GORENG KAMPUNG


I don't think that the village folks would have served their fried rice in the way that the Traditional Kampung Style Fried Rice was served at a restaurant. Nowadays everyone is interested in presentation and packaging.

For your information, Nasi Goreng Kampung is a type of fried rice, traditionally flavored with pounded fried fish (normally mackerel). Nowadays it has been conveniently been replaced with fried anchovies. In restaurants, they will serve it with fried eggs, soup and crackers.
