My mum tells me that when she watches the Asian Food Channel on Astro, she sees a lot of fruits and vegetables that are not sold in Malaysia. How true that is! Take for instance, the African Horned Melon above. Its scientific name is Cucumis metuliferus. This horned melon also goes by the following names, jelly melon, African Horned Cucumber, hedged gourd, melano and kiwano.
How does it taste like? According to wikipedia.org, the taste is a combination of banana, cucumber and lemon.
