DREAD OF EXAMINATIONS

On the frontpage of today's Star Newspaper was the picture of some men (presumably education department officers and school authorities) checking out the extent of damage to an examination hall in a school. The school in Johor was torched prior to the start of the PMR examination yesterday. The suspect was a male student who dreaded the idea of sitting for his examination and wanted to escape it. Little did he realise that the examination must go on as an alternative venue can always be found.
Tsk! Tsk! Frightened though he might be but what he did was irresponsible and thoughtless. If he could go to all the trouble to think up of how to burn down the hall, wouldn't it be better if he channelled his energy on studying for the examination. If his parents believed in Feng Shui, they could have placed his study desk and bed in his most favourable directions. Now, if the boy is proven guilt he will be sent to a correctional home for boys.
