Yesterday my student, Sharveen, and I visited the Ramadhan Bazaar in Sitiawan. There are many bazaars set up during the month of Ramadhan so that the Muslims who fast from sunrise to sunset can get to buy food to break their fast.Sharveen told me that he has been fasting since he was 10 years old. However, he does not get up to eat before dawn. Instead he eats at about 6 in the morning and breaks his fast at around 7.30 p.m. after he prays.
