SEASHELL MUSEUM

I went with my friend, Baz, to visit the Seashell Museum at Teluk Batik after the two of us attended at official function at a resort there. It seems that the museum had been there for two years but I did not know about it.
Anyway, as both of us did not have to go back to school (for those not in the know, my school is closed for a week for H1N1 virus mitigation purposes) we decided to go and check the place out. We paid RM2.00 each for the entrance fees. We were taken on a tour of the place by Cik Shimah (pictured with me). She told us that there were about 200 species of shells exhibited there and it seems that this is the one and only seashell museum in Malaysia. Both Baz and I are thinking of bringing our librarians to visit this place in future.
Feng Shui and Seashells
  1. Conch shells or cowrie shells have a special meaning in Feng Shui and they are said to enhance the travel luck and also to strengthen long distance relationship.
  2. They are also an excellent symbol for those who wish to have harmonious relationship with the rich and the famous.
  3. A nice large shell of at least 6-8 inches is more effective and when such shell is placed at the South sector of the living room, it enhances the good reputation and name of the occupant.
  4. It could also be placed in the southwest or the Northeast sectors of the living room to strengthen education and relationship luck.
  5. Placing a conch shell at the Southwest corner of the bedroom enhances the opportunities for a couple to live together and create circumstances for the relationship to strengthen and blossom.
  6. A conch shell in the Southwest of the bedroom can also strengthen long distance relationship and create more time for the couples to spend time together.
  7. Keeping a conch shell will in any case give great opportunities to enhance communications luck by virtue of which you will realize that the interaction improves with friends and colleagues and they will understand you better.
