I read in the newspaper that there is this secretary whose blog on cooking was so popular that that she got to write a few books on the subject. As far as cooking goes, it is just a hobby for me. When I am happy, I cook. When I am tensed, I cook. When I am sad, I also cook. You see, it is therapeutic for me.
Since I am under house isolation, I can only go out to buy some food or some necessities and then hurry home. Besides, cleaning, ironing, watching telly and surfing the Net, I also did some cooking. On Friday morning I made some egg sandwiches, then later in the day, I made barley soup with ginkgo, fuchok (sweetened beancurd), dried longan, quails eggs and rock sugar. Hey! This is supposed to be good for ones health.
Later in the evening I made some titbits that my Aunt May taught me how to cook. They were made with seaweed and popiah skin. It is crunchy and delicious.
I'll be doing posts on the recipes for the soup and the titbits for those who would like to try them out.
