CONTRADICTORY

Remember the guy in the pictures above? News about him were all over the Net prior to Michael Jackson's sudden death. Yup, he is Adam Lambert the first runner-up of the American Idol Competition. To me and I guess many critics, he was a clear-cut winner - the really outstanding performer to have emerged from the reality show. But surprisingly, the title of American Idol went to a blander singer by the name of Kris Allen. At the time, I remember reading that America had voted and their choice was Allen.

But now what I read in recent news articles is that everywhere the 10 finalists of the American Idol go for the AI roadshow in America, the singer everyone wants to see and listen to is Adam. Below are excerpts on reviews of the Idol concert:
- Review: Adam Lambert the star of 'American Idols Live!' in Oakland

The "American Idols Live! Tour 2009" features nine vocalists not named Adam Lambert and one that is.
The one thing that was evident from watching Saturday's "Idols" show at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, one of three tour stops over the weekend in Northern California, is that the 27-year-old Lambert is a bona-fide star.

Unfortunately, the rest of the top 10 finalists that performed on this night weren't nearly as interesting as Lambert. That definitely included Kris Allen, who ended up besting Lambert to win the title of "American Idol." Whatever the voting public saw in this "average Joe" vocalist — who comes across as a blander version of John Mayer, if indeed, that's even possible — certainly didn't translate at Oracle.

It was Megan Joy's hometown, but the biggest screams came for Adam Lambert.

Lambert, the "American Idol" runner-up, brought the house down by opening his segment on the American Idols Live show at the E Center with his big-band rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love."

Even Season 8 winner Kris Allen wasn't greeted with the decibels of screams and cheers Lambert received.

Contradictory, isn't it? Where are all the people who voted for Allen? Didn't they hand the AI crown to him by giving their vote? Why are all the people screaming for Adam instead? Could it be that at that particular time, Adam's luck cycle was at his lowest and however good his vocals might be or however outstanding his stage presence, his bad luck brought him down. Hmmm... isn't this hypothesis worth two cents?
