50 RINGGIT NOTES

I got these notes from the Automated Teller Machine yesterday afternoon. They are the new RM50 notes that were introduced in December, 2007. However, it is only recently that we are getting them from the ATM. I read that there were some initial hitches as the machines were rejecting the notes. I guess they managed to iron out the problem and hence we are now getting the new notes.

This new design of RM50 banknote is the first denomination of the Fourth Series of Malaysian currency notes which will be replacing the existing series in stages. To know more about the notes, please click here.
