In Feng Shui, every house has a wealth sector where the wealth star resides. This wealth star affects the money luck of every household members. Thus, it is important that this wealth sector of a house is free from Shar Chi (or Sha Qi). If a person wishes to increase the level of money luck, he can take a step further to activate the the wealth sector, such as placing a fish tank there.
Different schools of Feng Shui have different means of locating the wealth sector. For beginners, Feng Shui Masters usually recommends the corner of the living room diagonally opposite to the main door as the wealth corner. After locating the wealth corner, the next thing is ensure that there are no big heavy objects or any inauspicious items located at the corner. If there are any heavy objects, they should be removed so that it can be spacious.
