The car above spots the licence plate AFu 4444. This combination of numbers is frowned upon by the Chinese as the number 4 sounds like the word death in Chinese. Any Chinese worth his or her salt would shy away from having such a car number as it spells death on the road.

Anyway, I interviewed the owner of the car, a Puan Sharifah, about her wellbeing on the road since she bought her MYVI tow years ago and she told me that she had not had any mishaps on the road. She said that being from Penang she knew about the taboo the Chinese has for the deadly four. Goes to show that it is just superstition, right?

As far as Feng Shui goes, four is not an unlucky number and if we go by Flying Star Feng Shui, the number is representative of romance and education luck.
