BAD BOY, GOOD BOY

If you follow the Chinese entertainment scene, you would no doubt know that Jay Chou (pictured above with his mum) is one celebrity the media has labelled as the 'bad boy' of Taiwanese pop. Regardless of whatever negative qualities he is 'credited' to possess, the most endearing thing about him to me is the love and respect he shows for his elders.
I always enjoy stories written about him and his loved ones. It goes to show that the bad boy is really a good person after all. It seems that he is also very charitable as well. Jay has a lot of young fans and surely by highlighting on his charitable nature and filial piety towards his mum, grandma and his dad, the youngsters would also be influenced to do the same.
I don't know about you but I am sick of reading news about the sexploits and misbehaviour of actors, actresses and even prominent personalities in society. Is it that people love reading stories about negative behaviour? Is it that people enjoy reading about people being shamed and put down?
