Whenever I pass by the town of Ayer Tawar on the way back to Ipoh, I'd like to stop by a stall selling a type of pancake. In Cantonese we call it Tai Kow Mien. The Malay uncle who sells it always makes special ones for me. He'd leave the peanuts out and instead put more corn. I am allergic to peanuts and would break out in acne if I eat the nuts.
