The teachers in my school have come up with a novel way for the students to remember the present tense, past tense and the past participle and that is by pasting the words on the stairs leading the every floor in the Form 5 book.
Personally, I would not come up with such an idea as from young I have been told by my elders to respect the written words and also books as they are our source of knowledge. That is why children were told not to sit on books or step on words. That is one Chinese superstition that came into mind when I first saw the words pasted on the stairs. Anyway, I don't think people of other races have this superstition and so this is not a taboo thing.
