This Taiwanese drama is currently being shown on 8TV in Malaysia. It is an entertaining comedy series to watch and really helps me to relax after a hard day's work.
The story reminds me of "Pygmalian" or "My Fair Lady" whereby a lady of the street is groomed into a lady. The same happens to the heroine of "Miss No Good". A colourful girl with a Bohemian dress sense whom the hero dubs "Christmas Tree" wants to be turned into a classy lady to impress her former childhood classmate, who has turned from a fat boy into an incredibly good looking man who has shed all his excess weight with the help of his best friend, Tang Wen, a famous image consultant. Initially Tang Wen is very critical of Xiao Hua and says that she has no class, in both manner and dressing. Halfway through the movie, he did manage to turn her into someone who is fashionable. Little does he know that in the process he has fallen in love with the girl, not for her outer looks but for her inner beauty. Actually, at the end of the movie, Xiao Hua goes back to dressing and speaking like she normally does and she also gets the guy.
So the moral of the story is that we should not really judge a person by his or her appearance.
