2009 NEW YEAR FENG SHUI UPDATE TALK BY JASON ENG

I attended a Feng Shui Update talk by Master Jason Eng on 18th January 2009. The talk was held at the 14th Floor of Hotel Excelsior. For your information, this was the third time I have attended a talk by Jason. I attended one in 2006 and the second in 2008. I skipped 2007 as I was away in KL watching Rain's concert.
The talk was in 4 segments:
  1. "Outlook for Year 2009",
  2. "Updating Your House Feng Shui for 2009",
  3. "Ushering in the Chinese New Year for 2009"
  4. "Outlook for the Chinese Zodiacs in 2009"

Jason was a very engaging speaker and I managed to get a lot out of his three hour talk. The session was conducted in Cantonese. He made the talk interesting by adding in humour and also additional input from the Taoist religion. Before I forget, Jason is a student of Lilian Too and most of his materials are from her including the souvenir booklet that was given to the attendees. I'll do another post specially about him later.

I am going to one big good deed for 2009 and that it to share with you the notes that I got from Jason's talk beginning with the "Outlook for 2009" from the Feng Shui perspective.

OVERALL OUTLOOK FOR 2009

  • According the Jason, the year of the Ox will be better than the Rat year.
  • No matter how bad the year, there will always be those who will profit and prosper from it.
  • One thing for certain is that we need to protect ourselves first from any ill fortune and then only after that can we begin to think of how to capture the good luck.
  • There is a need to think positively no matter how adverse or bad the situation. In such a way, we will be able to overcome all obstacles and be able to come up truimphant.

PAHT CHEE FOR YEAR 2009

  • The presence of all the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth indicates a promising year ahead. (In the study of Paht Chee, if all the elements are present in the birth chart of a child, this means that the child will be easy to bring up. On the other hand, if the birth chart is missing some elements, then the child will be sickly and prone to danger and accidents. However, there are remedies for such a situation).
  • There are two Lap Chuns or beginning of spring in the year of the Ox.
  • Ox year will be a more stable year as compared to previous but Year of Tiger will not be better. So, we are advised to make hay while the sun shines.
  • Rat and Ox combination in the Paht Chee chart represent a good start and good end to the year.
  • The element of the year is weak metal.
  • There is the presence of Star of Nobleman and Commanding Star mean that there will be support and help by benefactors and also authority and influence for those in power.
  • Conflict of water and fire element afflicts the younger generation.
  • Health problems for the year tend to be related to the kidney, urinary bladder, intestines and skin.
  • Too much earth in the chart indicates natural disasters still dogging our earth, especially in the North.
  • Indication of a harmonious year. A year when ingenuity and creativity reaps dividends.

ADVICE FOR 2009

  • Wear more green for good luck.
  • Wear more metal and jade throughout the year.
