The Chinese would always wish that their children would quickly grow up big and strong, especially if the children are weak or sickly. Well, this is my fervent wish for the three little puppies above.
I first saw them yesterday evening when I was driving my mum to the grocery shop. The puppies' mother was crossing the road and the one that I and my mum were holding in the above pictures followed. Both the mummy dog and puppy were in the middle of the main road and cars and motorcycles were coming from both direction. The driver of the car slowed down to prevent from running over it. The big dog then crossed the road to the other side and the puppy successfully managed to come back over to the other side. I was actually going to turn out from my housing estate and decided to stop my car and the junction. I got out from my car and gestured to the drivers of the two cars behind me. They too had seen the situation in front and told me to go and rescue the little pup. After I got it, I went and looked for the owner. I asked around and found the house but the owner had gone to work. The mummy dog and two little pups appeared when I opened the gate to let it in. The neighbour told me that the dogs were not given much food and that is why the big dog would go out to look for food. On hearing this, my mum and I went home to get some dog biscuits for them (see second picture).
I again saw the dog nursing her puppies in the middle of the road early this morning when I was on the way to attend a meeting (see the first picture). Aiyoh! I really worry for them doggies and don't want anything bad to happen to them. I am a softie at heart and would really cry my heart out if I see any of them being hit. That is why I am hoping and praying that they grow up fast and be able to look out for themselves.
