ULAM IS GOOD FOR US

In Malaysia, plants that can be eaten raw (or at most scalded) are referred to as Ulam. It is usually eaten with rice and sambal belacan (see first picture). We can get lots of benefits from eating ulam since it has a high content of minerals, is rich in fibre and is low in calories. Many ladies like to eat it as it is said to help keep them looking young. Whether they are termed as salads or ulam, I love them all.
