I am watching a very interesting drama at the moment. It is called 'Fated to Love You' 命中注定我愛你. It is actually one of the hottest dramas in Taiwan and currently holds the record for the most viewership. The premise of the story is something very Cinderella-like with a plain looking and mild mannered girl being accidentally matched with a handsome rich heir.
The theme of the not so pretty heroine and the goodlooking hero seems to work over and over again. However, the moral value that is being shown is that ones inner beauty will shine through in the end and the silly hero would finally come to his senses and choose the one that is really right for him. Though the story of the girl wrongly going into the bed of the hero and he also mistakenly beds her seems a bit far-fetched but then again situations that happen in real-life sometimes will appear more incredible than those played out on the screen.
Take for instance, the main actor of the drama, Ethan Ruan. He started out somewhere in 2006 and had only been given supporting parts thus far. But then when lucky stars are shining on him and he lands the lead, the show he acts in suddenly becomes the most talked about and most watched in his homeland. See, nothing is impossible and anything can happen.
