FAT PEOPLE ARE LUCKY PEOPLE (肥人有福)?

Bobby Auyeung Chun Wah (歐陽震) is one of my favourite Hong Kong actors. I remember I first watched Bobby acting as Mu Tou (木頭) in Police Cadet 1 many, many years ago. At that time, he was only a member of the supporting cast and not much attention was on him. I also remember that he was tall and thin then. Years later, he gained fame and recognition after he gained quite a lot of weight. I remember reading in a newspaper article in a Chinese newspaper that said Bobby once consulted a Fortune teller who told him that he would become successful if he became fatter. Well, it seems that the soothsayer's prediction was correct. There is a Chinese saying that "Fat people are lucky people" (肥人有福). For Bobby, this adage holds true as he now plays the lead role in all the dramas that he acts in and it seems that whatever drama he takes on will be successful.
Before I forget, I must mention that fat does not really equal wealth luck for everyone. It just happens that in Bobby Auyeong's case, his fate happens to dictate that being fat would be auspicious for him. There are plenty of super thin people who are super rich. Take for example, Sir Run Run Shaw.
