I got the information here from a book titled "Modern Living with Feng Shui" by Albert Low. He mentions that plants liven up our residence and greenery gives a cosmetic touch to it.
Below is a list of plants which are beneficial to our homes.
- Aloe Vera - This plant gives protection from intruders when planted around the house. It is also purported to prevent cooking accidents when planted in the kitchen.
- Cactus - When placed at the windows, the cactus safeguards the house against burglars and intruders. And if one needs to abstain from sex, try keeping a pot of cactus in the bedroom as it is believed to help cold down ones's sexual urge.
- Orchid - This plant induces chastity and makes one think of love all the time.
- Palms - The palms are also known as "sun plants". They are said to emanate uplifting vibrations.
- Rose - The presence of red roses attracts love to a home but the romance may fail as it is a thorny plant (or so the belief goes).
