I noticed these dragon coins hung from an alligator on top of a cash register of an eatery at Taiping Zoo. The sales girl told me that her boss was a believer of the ancient Science of Feng Shui. The Chinese coins tied together with a red tassel at the end are said to attract good luck and prosperity to a business and is usually hung near a cash register.
