MING TONG

Ming Tong??? What is that? Is it someone's name? Yeah, it could be but the Ming Tong I am talking about here has to deal with a part of the house. In Chinese it is referred to as the flat space in the facing side of the building. When translated into English it means “Bright Hall.”
Ideally the area directly in front of our houses should be beautiful, welcoming, and have a good balance of light and darkness. I notice that many people put up awnings or plant trees for shade and this creates a dark entrance and is not favourable as far as Feng Shui is concerned. One must make sure that the entrance of the house is well lit and open. Keeping the Ming Tong clean and beautiful will enhance the overall prosperity of your home.
I would like to emphasize that the bright hall effect brings in beneficial Qi. So one must make sure that the area leading up to your door should be clear to encourage this effect. Make sure the main door opens to a clear view where nothing blocks the flow of Sheng Chi into the home. This bright hall effect brings wealth to the family for many generations.
