AQUARIUMS AND FENG SHUI

Many people love to rear fish in aquariums in their homes. Some treat is as a hobby while some do it for Feng Shui purposes. The movement of fish and water in an aquarium activates and enhances the chi or energy in your home. An aquarium that is suitably designed according to Feng Shui basics can bring good luck and wealth to a household. Rearing fish help with positive Feng Shui energy by cleansing ones home of negative energy. However, we cannot simply place it anywhere we want as there are dire consequences if we do so. Therefore, it is of vital importance to place a Feng Shui aquarium in the proper position in the house.

Here are some tips on Feng Shui aquariums.
  1. People who lack the water element in their Ba Zi should place an aquarium or fish tank in their living room to enhance their luck cycle.
  2. Do not have too big an aquarium as they contain too much water as from the Feng Shui viewpoint, too much water overwhelms.
  3. Avoid putting an aquarium at an auspicious direction as the point of placing the aquarium is to help dissolve external evil elements and negative chi.
  4. Do not place an aquarium behind a sofa as this would mean that the people sitting there would not have support.
  5. Avoid placing the aquarium underneath the figurine of Cai Xin or the God of Wealth as this would spoil ones fortune luck.
  6. If possible, place 6 gold fish and one black fish in the aquarium because
    - 1 and 6 together represent water in the River Chart.
    - Gold is metallic color and metal enhances water.
    - Black is the color of water.
  7. Keep your aquarium about waist-high and not too close to the floor.
  8. Keep the water in your aquarium clean for the best Qi flow in your home or office.
  9. If possible put your aquariums in the north area of your home as well as in the east or southeast for prosperity.
