MONEY BOOSTERS

The coin pictured above is a genuine Chinese coin used during the reign of one of the Ching emperors. The string of 9 emperor coins directly below it is a reproduction of coins from the reigns of 9 Ching emperors. Where Feng Shui is concerned these coins are said to be imbued with certain wealth boosting energies. They are also purported to be able to act as a talisman to ward off evil. They have been symbols of wealth and prosperity for hundreds of years and are often carried as lucky pieces.
You must also be wondering why only 9 emperors when there must be more than a hundred emperors. Right? Well, if I am not mistaken these type of coins were only minted in the later dynasties. Before that there was barter trade and also the use of the silver or gold tael. Also, it was during the reign of the Ming emperors that the coins were widely used.
For your information, there were actually 10 Emperors in the Ching Dynasty, but in Chinese Feng Shui symbology, we usually use only the first 9. The last emperor Shuen Tung' s period is not use as his reign only lasted 3 years and it was during the collapse of the dynasty.
The 9 Emperor and their reigning years are:
- Shun Chi (1644-1661)
- Kang Hsi (1661-1722)
- Yung Cheng (1723-1735)
- Chien Lung (1736-1796)
- Chia Ching (1796-1820)
- Tao Kwong (1820-1850)
- Shen Fung (1850-1861)
- Tung Chi(1862-1874)
- Kwong Shui (1875-1908
The first Nine Emperors of the Ching Dynasty were all very powerful Emperors. They represent glory, fame, vast fortune, great wealth and prosperity. Nine is the number of completeness. It is the largest singular number in numerology and it symbolizes unity and harmony of heaven and earth.
The red mystic knot which is usually tied at the end of the coins is to empower the Nine Emperor coins with its energies. The Nine Emperor coins can be used as Wealth enhancers and be placed over your entrance or stick on to your account book. If you are a student, you can use the string of coins as a bookmark. With the benevolence of the 9-Ching Emperors, you will most likely succeed in your academic endeavours. For those who are familiar with flying star Feng Shui, the Nine-Emperor coins can be used as a strong Metal Cure for the annual or monthly #5 Yellow Star.
You can enhance the metal element with Chinese coins. Anything metallic like coins and gold bar are always suitable for metal corners. The best object to use for enhancing metal energies are the old Chinese coins. The combination of a square hole in the center of a round coin symbolizes heaven and earth. Tie these coins together in 3, 6, 8 or 9 with red string to energize the coins, and then place them in the West and Northwest metal corner of your living room. This is a very powerful method of enhancing incomes. Remember that the red string is vital since it is believed to be what causes the energies of the coins to be released.
Actually, the Chinese government have stopped minting these coins as currency for more than a hundred years but until today they are still very popular as jewelry, religious items, and wealth symbols and have an important role in the practice of Feng Shui.
Chinese coins are very popular and recognized as being powerful for many Feng Shui uses. Because of this they have been reproduced in recent times. Whether the coins are reproductions or genuine ones, they can be used as feng shui cures or activators.
The Genuine Ancient Chinese Coins, due to their age and many years of use carry the wealth energy of everyone who handled them over the years and used them for a variety of purposes; making purchases, religious rituals, and making Feng Shui adjustments. This powerful energy can be felt when handling the coins and the good wealth energy will transfer to anyone who carries them.
Other excellent ways to use any Chinese coins are to attach them to a check book, appointment or date book, telephone, computer, cash register, or credit card machine in a home or business, since the coins represents coming prosperity and will attract future wealth. If you use the Chinese coins this way, always place or hang them character side up. Whatever way you use Chinese coins in Feng Shui, remember to use them and let their power and tradition enhance your Feng Shui wealth energy.
The Chinese Coins are generally arranged in sets of three, tied together with a red ribbon/string, symbolizing the unity of man, earth, and heaven called the Tien-di-Ren. The coin itself has a square in the middle and 4 different Chinese symbols around it. The square represents the energy of the earth while the roundness of the coin represents the energy of heaven. When the red ribbon or string is tied in different manners it can represent different types of luck and can interpret the incoming Chi in different ways. 3 coins with red string or ribbon are so powerful that it can be considered to be equivalent to the presence of a Wealth God and its uses are aplenty:
  1. Carry it in your pocket, purse or wallet wherever you go to ensure you carry with you wealth energy that could create abundance for you.
  2. One can also hang this amulet on their handbags.
  3. Activate wealth by displaying 3-coins tied with the mystic knot in the four corners of every room in your home and office. The mystic knot gives the coins added potency and sets up wealth vibrations through the foundations of your home or business premise.
  4. To increase your business fortune, stick three of the coins on to all your important files, bank books, invoice books and order books, cheque books, in your cash boxes and safes, inside your pocketbook and any folder or item to do with your income.
  5. Similarly you can stick this potent wealth attractor on to your fax machines, cash register and computers to attract opportunities through these avenues. The yang side must always be up.
  6. Hang three coins on the inside doorknob of your shop's main door. This symbolizes that prosperity has already entered your office. On the outside doorknob of your shop's main door, hang a pair of bells; this attracts good fortune chi to enter your office. The sound of bells symbolically 'announces' imminent prosperity and good news. This 'coins and bells' tip is particularly effective for companies or establishments engaged in the trading, wholesale or retail business.
  7. You may also display 3-coins in southeast corner of your bedroom, workdesk, living room etc to activate your wealth corner.
  8. Hang this emblem of riches in your car or in your office to generate better times to come.
Chinese Coins Symbolize the unity of heaven and earth, which are auspicious for career luck.
For the most part these coins are considered to be powerful symbols of wealth and prosperity, but they can be used to fight off negative energy, which introduces diseases, physical harm and bad luck. Some practitioners of feng shui hang them from their front door in certain positions to block the negative chi from entering their household and affecting their lives.
Generally, the Chinese people value success as an important aspect of their lives and because of this, coin objects are valued in their society. http://www.anthro.uci.edu/html/Programs/Anthro_Money/FengShui.htm
