SIGNIFICANCE OF DREAMS

One of my friends told me that her daughter was having some weird dreams lately. The girl had dreamt that she lost four teeth and I guess is rather worried that something ominous might happen. I am not too sure about that. What I know is that if we dream of someone dying then it means that that particular person will be able to overcome some danger. So this is a good sign. I have to refer the matter to my sifu and get back to her later. While we are on the subject of dreams, I would like to dwell on this subject today.
Dreams represent what our subconscious side wants to tell us and very often these messages are hidden in cryptic symbolism and imagery.
From an article on the significance of dreams that I had read, dreaming of talking creatures signify the potential to proceed beyond perceived limitations and go on to achieve greater success. Dreaming of creatures flying or singing would mean success. I don't think I have ever had such dreams before.
If we dream of household pets or ordinary creatures that are commonly found then it would mean that all is well.
Below examples of animals and what they signify if they appear in our dreams.
Bee - good earnings
Birds - prosperity, good news and family happiness.
Butterfly - major change in ones life
Cow - great prosperity in all venture but also indication of need for caution
Dogs - advancement and success due to good personal values and intent.
Dragon - good luck and excellent fortune
Elephant - dignity and distinction
Fishes - happiness, abundance, fertility and pregnancy.
Goat - steady increase of wealth
Horse - Making good progress and big earnings
Insects - financial gains and abundant means.
Owl - wisdom and higher education
Peacock - career stability, contentment, success and prestige
Phoenix - good fortune is on the way
Pig - good fortune is coming your way, prosperity, fertility and success
Rabbit - faithfulness in love, good luck in partnerships and business ventures.
Rat - good fortune and success in projects
Rooster - birth of new ideas
Snake - ability to know good from bad
Tiger - overcoming opposition and rising to a higher position
Tortoise - opportunity for advancement
Yellow bird - good luck in financial affairs

I know that many Chinese people would go and buy numbers from the gaming offices after dreaming of an animal. I did not dream of an animal lately but had dreamt that my late father appeared in my dreams and kept indicating to me the number 290. My aunt Linda says that since my dad is a male, I should add 8 in front to make it 8290. If it is a female, we add 7. Well, if you are interested, why not give the number a try. Have a happy weekend!!!
